The REMODEL Project will collaborate with GÜMTOB, which holds a significant position in the hospitality sector. GÜMTOB is a regional association with 250 members consisting of accommodation businesses operating in 6 provinces, boasting a total of 19,931 rooms and 40,976 bed capacity. Therefore, especially in the application area of BMI LAB, substantial support is anticipated.”

A meeting commenced with a warm welcome to South Marmara Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association (GÜMTOB), the newest stakeholder in the project. Detailed discussions ensued regarding the delineation of roles and responsibilities among the project partners. It was underscored that collaboration and clear communication would be key to the project’s success. Each partner’s contributions were acknowledged, and GÜMTOB’s role as a bridge between academia and industry was particularly highlighted.

The meeting was adjourned with expressions of optimism about the project’s impact on the hospitality sector in Turkey. Participants reaffirmed their dedication to fostering innovation and collaboration through this initiative.

Also, the meeting culminated in the signing of a collaboration protocol between the Bursa Uludağ University (BUU) Rectorate and GÜMTOB. BUU, has signed a special protocol with GÜMTOB for the purpose of conducting joint efforts in terms of education and project collaboration, as well as internships and employment opportunities for students
