Dr. Tena Patten

Dr. Tena Patten currently teaches in the Department of Design and Creative Media, based in the School of Business at ATU.  She is also the Joint Course Director of the ATU Doctorate in Business Administration.

The topic of the visiting lecture was “Creative entrepreneurship – exploring lived experience” on May 15th, 2024.

The content of the visiting lecture hosted by the Bursa Uludag University is as follows:

  • Explore theoretical and practical issues relating to entrepreneurial opportunity
  • Identify the characteristics of creative industry entrepreneurs
  • Discuss the benefits and challenges of conducting qualitative research
  • Critique the use of interviews as a data collection method

Tena’s delivery will explore the topic of creative entrepreneurship. There will be a particular focus on qualitative research. Having participated in the sessions, students should be able to discuss the lived experience of creative entrepreneurs and will have gained insights into the methods used to surface such experience.
