DR. HÉCTOR ALAIZ MORETÓN
Héctor Alaiz Moretón received his degree in Computer Science, performing the final Project at Dublin Institute of Technology, in 2003. He received his PhD in Information Technologies in 2008 (University of Leon). He has worked as a lecturer since 2005 at the School of Engineering at the University of Leon. His research interests include knowledge engineering, machine and deep learning, networks communication, and security.
The topic of the visiting lecture was “MATLAB for validating hypotheses when working with datasets” on February 22nd, 2024.
The content of the visiting lecture hosted by the Bursa Uludag University is as follows:
- What is MATLAB?
- MATLAB Tool for Papers Based on Datasets
- Knowing MATLAB: Mathematical operations, commands scripts, functions, and graphical representation.
- Machine Learning and Statics
- MATLAB with ChatGPT
This workshop aims to provide students basic MATLAB knowledge. Thank to this tool the researchers will be able to work with complex datasets in order to develop statistical treatment and machine learning models. This workshop will be a first approach to this programming language, so the students will know the basic primitives understanding the automatic outputs of new Al tools such as ChatGPT.
Dr. Alberto and Dr. Héctor together with REMODEL Project
Coordinator Prof. Aylin Poroy Arsoy and Project Manager Assoc. Prof. Yasemin
